Touring Valpara\u00edso with its hills, streets, stairs and elevators that go up and down getting lost in the sky or in the sea, seduces and traps. <\/p>\n<p>Its &#8220;crazy geography of a crazy port&#8221;, as Pablo Neruda wrote, gives it a special peculiarity. From its labyrinthine hills and ravines hang the most diverse houses facing the sea, defying gravity. <\/p>\n<p>When wandering through its narrow streets you can hear the whisper of its inhabitants who share their intimacy with us.<\/p>\n<p>Valpara\u00edso enchanted me, which is why I spent ten years perched on its hills, trapping and carrying its images full of nostalgia to my canvases.<\/p>\n<p>Nostalgia for a past time, a time of slow walking, a time of contemplative life, alien to our senseless and vertiginous contemporary society.<\/p>\n<p>Experience Valpara\u00edso in its abandonment. Observe its decadence, added to the neglect on the one hand and the impotence of the porte\u00f1os themselves on the other, which is devastating.<br \/>This is one of the reasons that prompted me to capture its images on my canvases, before time took care of erasing them definitively.[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading heading_semantic=&#8221;h3&#8243;
